and spiritual renewal for all.

We welcome all spiritual seekers - those whose faith is just beginning, those whose faith has been on “hold” for a while, and those whose faith has been lifelong.
This is a place where we explore what it means to be a Christian in the 21st Century - holding up the issues of our day in the light of the gospel.
We strive to be welcoming, inclusive, compassionate and respectful toward all of God’s creation.
We welcome people with doubts and questions who may be weary of rigid understandings of Scripture, and who want to explore and develop their faith in a way that makes sense to them. In all things, we preach a gospel of God’s abundant grace made known to us in the life and teachings of Jesus Christ, and actively seek ways to put that faith into action in our community and beyond.
We welcome you to walk in faith with us!

The Stained Glass Art of Christopher Wallis
Heritage in Oil - Heritage in Faith
The history of Christ Church, Petrolia is intimately connected with the development of the oil industry in Petrolia and surrounding area. From 1961 to 1989, a series of stained glass windows were commissioned by the church and created by local artist Christopher Wallis. Most remarkable among these works of art is the Memorial Window which, as well as an expression of thanks to God for the gift of Creation, also celebrates the gift of oil, and chronicles the development of the oil industry locally and abroad. It is a priceless piece of area history which has a Heritage Ontario designation.
Wonders of Light, by Patricia McGee, with photos by Carol Graham and Hugh Clouse, was launched amid great festivity on June 19, 2010 at Christ Church. This book is a very readable synthesis of local history as well as an appreciative look at the stained glass art which graces Christ Church.
